National Student Council State Representative
Texas is part of group 2 that is up for state representatives for the upcoming 2025 - 2026 school year. Group 2 will nominate students for NSC State Representatives in odd years (2025-2026 school year): AL, AR, AZ, American Samoa, CO, DC, DE, FL, Guam, HI, IN, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NV, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WV.
NSC State Representatives must:
- Be a rising junior or senior in high school.
- Attend a school with an active NASC membership. If you’re not sure, our NASC council finder allows you to verify your school’s student council membership: https://www.natstuco.org/about/council-finder/
- Attend a school with an active TASC membership in good standing with TASC. The advisor of the student will login to submit the application.
- Have been an active member of the school’s student council for at least two years.
- Be able to travel alone to Washington, D.C., or other major U.S. cities.
- Be able to commit to participating in at least nine (9) 90 minute monthly virtual meetings held the second Wednesday of every month and one (1) in-person gathering (2 – 3 days).
- Be able to commit 3-5 hours each month to participate in meetings and work in service of the National Student Council.

TASC State Representative Application Timeline: • Due date of online application – April 29, 2025 • Online Zoom Interviews – Scheduled Individually with select applicants the beginning of May • Selection of 2 candidates to submit their applications to the National Office – Mid-May
