2026 TASC High School Annual Conference 

Join about 4,000 StuCo leaders in San Antonio as we come together to celebrate accomplishments, elect officers, and attend sessions on leadership and student council issues. The conference includes a night at Six Flags Theme Park and exciting speakers, exhibits, elections, and activities. Be a part of the largest student council gathering in the U.S. at the 2026 TASC High School Annual Conference!

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION 

  • EARLY BIRD RATE: (Includes T-shirts) by February 25 - $225 per person (Every advisor, student, adult chaperone coming into the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center all need to be registered!)
  • REGULAR RATE: (Does NOT include T-shirts) by March 29 - $245 per person (NO T-shirts AFTER Feb 25)(Every advisor, student, bus driver, and adult chaperone coming into the LACC all need to be registered!)

Information Needed Before Starting The Registration Process:

1. Names & T-shirt sizes for each person registered. Select a Men's size: Adult Small - 4XL
2. School/District approval for students to attend the conference and the principal's acknowledgment of the TASC cancellation policy. 

Register every person attending conference, whether they are a student or adult. This includes chaperones, administrators, advisors, and students. Non-advisor chaperones and bus drivers do not need to register as guests if they do not plan to attend the conference (will not enter the convention center, attend any sessions, or be in any conference activities other than possibly Six Flags.)  You may purchase additional Six flags tickets for those chaperones wanting to only go to Six Flags. 

 

EVENT HAPPENINGS:

  • Students will attend sessions designed to celebrate, educate, and motivate student leaders! They will hear from the top youth speakers in the nation and also learn from each other in Breakout Sessions and Table Talks.
  • Students, Advisors, and Schools will be recognized for the work they've done through the TASC State Project, win scholarships and service awards, and elect state officers for the next school year.
  • A Night at Six Flags and more!
 

PAST 2025 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

HOUSTON KRAFT has spoken at over 700 events internationally. In 2016, he co-founded Character Strong which currently serves 10,000 schools across 50 states and 49 countries helping tsupport the teaching of character and social-emotional skills in education. In 2019, his face was featured on Lays BBQ chip bags as someone who helps "spread smiles.” In 2020, his first book Deep Kindness was published by Simon & Schuster. In 2023, the companion guide Be Kind was published. He has been featured on Good Morning America, CNN, Hallmark, and more as an expert on developing a more empathetic, kind world. His mom is his hero and her best life lesson is to “hug like you mean it.”

   

LAMARR WOMBLE is a nationally recognized Speaker, Executive Life Coach, Leadership and School Culture expert, who will help you in accessing a more fulfilled life by teaching you to discover it’s not just about what you do but who you want to be. On the journey to becoming the greatest version of yourself, it’s essential that you:

*Overcome mental/emotional life challenges.
*Find and Do work you love.
*Lead self/others to be more aware and lead people.

 

DR. FARAH ORTEGA-CHOATE is an educator and national speaker. She holds four degrees, including her doctorate from USC in Leadership. She is in her twenty-fourth year of teaching. She is the Activities Director at La Quinta Middle School in Southern California. She is an ASB/Renaissance leadership teacher, WEB Coordinator, and Yearbook Advisor. Dr. Farah was inducted into the Jostens Renaissance Hall of Fame in 2023 and received Jostens Renaissance School of Distinction - Platinum Level for 2023 and 2024. She is a California Association of Directors of Activities Master Activities Director, a member of the CADA Area F Council, and a CADA Camp Staff member. She is a Jostens Renaissance Champion who oversees the Sierra Nevada Region (CA, HI, and NV). She coordinates Coachella Valley Student Leaders, which brings together leadership educators to network and support one other. Dr. Farah is also a board member for the Inland Empire Future Leaders Program. She is the proud mother of two sons, John and Brandon. She not only talks about student leadership and student activities, she lives it every day! Dr. Farah’s goal is to INSPIRE, EDUCATE, EMPOWER, and CELEBRATE our youth and help other educators do the same!

 

2026 REGISTRATION DETAILS:

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION - Will Open in January!

  • REGULAR RATE: (Does NOT include T-shirts) by March 29 - $245 per person (NO T-shirts AFTER Feb 25)(Every advisor, student, bus driver, and adult chaperone coming into the Loews Arlington Convention Center all need to be registered!)

A night at Six Flags is provided with all registrations. This year it will be a semi-private party and meal vouchers will be included as well as parking. Please note Six Flags is card payment only for any onsite purchases such as meals, snacks, and souvenirs. Attendees at Six Flags may bring an unopened plastic water bottle, or an empty reusable water bottle to fill in the park and drink. 

Registration does not include parking near the Convention Center. Bus Parking details to come soon!

  • Delegate and Guest Registration:
    • Every person in the building must be registered and wear a TASC wristband and a TASC-printed name badge. (Officer schools and candidates for office will be sent specific guidelines.)
    • Adding Additional Delegates to existing registration: Register them on a NEW registration form. An invoice is created separately. (System does not combine separate entries into one invoice.)

  • Concessions and Cafe Options 2026 - There will be concessions each day this year for conference. More details to come!

FORMS FOR ADVISORS:

Advisors assume full responsibility for their student delegations during the conference, including enforcing the TASC dress code. Registrants must be in the dress code at the conference. TASC DRESS CODE »

  • Table Talk submission form will be here» Table Talks are ten-minute presentations presented three times. Each school registering is invited to submit up to 4 Table Talk topics.
  • Advisor Recognition form for service or retirement will be here» TASC recognizes advisors for years of service at five-year intervals. Retiring advisors who have served for more than five years are also recognized. Advisors must submit a recognition form.
  • District Flag Ceremony link will be here» Either the District President Advisor or the District Coordinator for each district is asked to submit the name of the student and the school carrying the district flag.  Practice will be held on Day One in the afternoon.

  • Parking: Registration does NOT include parking. Buses may drop off in front of the convention center but may not park at the convention. We are working with Arlington for a bus parking possibility nearby.

  • Need to request a cancellation/refund?

    • By email only: Cancellations and refunds will be permitted until one month prior to the start date of a particular event or workshop and must be made in writing to the TASC office. When applicable, the refund amount will be applied to the balance due. Each time a cancellation is made, there will be a transaction fee (⅓ of the registration fee) assessed per individual cancellation. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than one month prior to the start date of an event/workshop. Refunds will not be provided for event/workshop no-shows, regardless of the situation.
    • We suggest you try to find another student to take their place if someone cannot come!

Please book in the TASC Hotel block - this helps keep registration costs low. It also helps you because Conference Direct can help you find other hotels, add additional rooms, etc. Contact Conference Direct if you need their assistance or need them to intercede with the hotel on your behalf. Do not call hotels in our block directly and ask for the rate - you must go through the online service or call Conference Direct for them to assist you. For questions, hotel invoices, or assistance, please get in touch with Conference Direct, the TASC Housing Bureau.
