Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas are partnering to bring you an exceptional virtual conference experience open to both middle level and high school students and advisors. Each partner state will have its individual event embedded in the conference.

  • Joint opening and closing sessions, joint general sessions, and joint breakouts
  • Individual state rooms for elections, recognition of award winners, etc.  
  • Some TASC district rooms at 8:15 AM CT Monday, April 19.
  • Open to both ML and HS, member and nonmember  
  • Breakout strands for newly elected or candidates for state office; newly elected or candidates for council or district office; general membership, middle level, and advisors
  • Many interactive events on Saturday, April 17 including games (for students and advisors), poetry slam, chats with speakers, (many with prizes) etc.  Delegates must be registered for the conference to participate.

Cost per person:

  • Members: $35 if registered by midnight CT April 12. $40 after midnight CT April 12. Last minute registration can go through this link. For member pricing, advisor may log in to his/her account. The promo code for member pricing will be on the TASC (TX) landing page. Other partner states must check with their association for promo codes.
  • Nonmembers: $40 if registered by midnight CT April 12 plus $2 processing fee and credit card or check fee. $45 plus fees if registered after midnight April 12. Click here to register.
  • No limit to the number a school may register.
  • Registration cannot be cancelled. 
  • Those registering by April 5 are being sent swag boxes. 

Entrance to the conference site:

  • Registrants will be sent a link via email to log in to the conference site. Those who test their login later than noon CT April 17 may experience delays accessing the conference site.
  • Registrants will need individual log ins to access games, chats, poetry slam, etc. on April 17.

Voting:  Please see specific voting instruction for your individual state.  

  • TASC (TX) Councils must be TASC HS members registered by an advisor in a school group in order to vote for state office and HS elected advisor to the board. Must register by midnight CT April 12 in order to vote.
  • TASC (TX) HS Councils have up to five (5) votes per office (must have at least five (5) students registered for 5 votes) and one (1) advisor vote for the Elected Advisor to the Board.  (ML elections take place at the ML Conference.)
  • Balloting information and key codes for voting will be sent via email.

Campaign information for TASC State Office and Elected Advisor to the Board  

  • The campaign rally for Texas will be held in the Texas Meeting at 4:30 PM CT, Sunday, April 18.
  • Councils should plan to caucus immediately following the rally to determine their votes.
  • Voting (by electronic ballot) will begin following the rally and will close at 7:30 PM CT, Sunday, April 18.
  • An email will be sent to all registered for the conference announcing whether or not a run-off will be required.
  • Should a run-off be required, a new ballot will be sent.
  • Run-off voting will open at 9:00 AM CT, Monday, April 19, and will close at 10:00 AM CT Monday, April 19.

Shirts:

  • Conference shirts may be ordered by the advisor for $10 per shirt for group orders shipped by our coordinator school to the council advisor.   Advisors will receive the link to order shirts in their conference registration confirmation form. Shirts to be shipped to councils must be ordered by midnight CT April 5. After midnight CT April 5, the individual order form must be used.  Swag boxes will be sent to councils that register by April 5.
  • Individuals may order shirts for $12 to be shipped to their home. Those can be ordered at any time, but must be ordered by  midnight CT April 5 in order to be received by the conference date. Online ordering ends midnight CT April 23, 2021.

Hank Fortener is a speaker, entrepreneur, and activist. He is the founder of AdoptTogether.org, the world’s first and largest crowdfunding site for adoption costs. In its 8 years, AdoptTogether.org has helped over 6,000 families raise over twenty million dollars to cover adoption expenses and bring children home to their forever families. He has spoken to audiences around the world, at a TEDx conference, and through podcasts downloaded by over one million listeners. Hank currently serves as General Manager of Artist Management at Roc Nation. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.

Kate Gladdin

From a broken-hearted sister battling an eating disorder to one of Australia’s “100 Women of Influence,” Kate Gladdin is living proof that what doesn’t kill us can make us stronger. She is an international youth speaker, certified life coach, teen resilience specialist and author of the recently published “The Teen’s Guide to Social Skills.”.
Through her school talks and podcast show, “Okay, Now What?”, Kate has shared her empowering message with more than 200,000 students to help them overcome any adversity they face. In 2020, during the worldwide pandemic, Kate founded Otion, an online coaching program for teens, parents, and education professionals that teaches teens the mental and emotional skills they need to live their most resilient life. For her dedication to helping youth, Kate has been featured on Arianna Huffington’s site, THRIVE, and named one of Tourism Fiji’s “Bulanaires’’ – a title that celebrates those rich in positivity and resilience.  Originally from Sydney, Australia, Kate now lives happily in New Jersey, USA with her fiance. Her favorite things include homemade cookies and playing with her puppy, Jaku.

Juan Bendana

Juan Bendana is a renowned speaker, entrepreneur and DJ. Every year, he keynotes annual conferences, student events & corporate trainings that take him to over 50 cities across Canada & the United States. He speaks to 50,000+ students, educators, and professionals across Canada & the United States yearly.
He is the Founder of The 100 Day Playbook, a guided journal designed to build better habits, boost productivity, and optimize performance. He has partnered with major organizations such as Sony Pictures and helps brands connect with their audience in meaningful ways.  He is a former snowboard instructor, sushi expert, and can recite every word of the Lion King.

Sherri Coale

One of the Best RESET Stories Ever! This Hall of Fame college coach accepted the University of Oklahoma job directly from coaching high school girls basketball. The recount of her two seasons coaching at Norman High School is the best RESET story you could hear and will inspire you to push that RESET button and get ready for the coming year. Sherri Coale is a Oklahoma legend. She was the head coach of the University of Oklahoma Sooner's women's basketball team for 25 years, a four-time Big 12 Coach of the Year and a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. She also coached the USA team which competed at the Junior World Championship in 2001.
She is a fiery speaker on and off the court.

  • Campaign information for officer positions and HS elected advisor to the board.
  • The Texas Association of Student Councils campaign rally is scheduled for 4:30 PM Sun. April 18.  Councils should plan to caucus following the rally to determine the candidates for whom they will vote. 
  • Parade of Ideas - Reposted and will be open until midnight April 8.
