Experienced advisors share ideas and insights in small discussion groups and table talks.  Advisors may submit a proposal to present a session or a table share.

Carlos Ojeda

Scott Backovich

Michael Dominguez

Hear from one of our own.  Michael Dominguez, SVP and Chief Sales Officer for MGM International, was a student leader at John Jay HS.  He has been named among the 25 most Influential Hispanics in Business in North American and one of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry.  He will speak on Leadership Today which he presented at South X Southwest.  Michael credits much of his success today to his high school leadership experiences. 

Paul Branagan

Learn from Paul Branagan, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of Student Councils, principal of Middleborough High School, and student council advisor as he leads you through both practical and innovation ideas to establish a strong student council. Check out his tweets here. You would LOVE to have Paul as your principal.

Enjoy presentations from the CharacterStrong team that will assist you in cultivating a culture of character that develops SEL's and in growing capable, compassionate students.

Presentations by the dude. be nice team will inspire you in your quest to teach your students to treat themselves and others better.  

Learn in sessions facilitated by the Texas School Safety Center and Teen Truth.  Get hands on experience with team building activities.  You will leave prepared for and excited about the coming school year.

Honor Society Strand: Join Elancia Felder from the national office of NHS/NJHS as she shares the nuts and bolts of a strong honor society program. Gain sound expertise from Texas experts on student leadership and leadership classes as well as school culture and climate.

New advisors: We have special training just for you also. We also invite honor society advisors to submit breakout and table share proposals. We need your input. 

Attend as a school leadership team:  Invite your principal as well as other class and club advisors — take your leadership team! Honor Society members can create a profile and register online.

If  you are registered by September 7, you will have the early bird rate.  However, if you are not paid prior to the event,  you will need to go to the onsite line. Please be aware that by registering online you are guaranteeing payment.  The TASC Board of Directors has a no refund/no cancellation policy after the stated deadline which is September 7, the date at which early bird registration closes.  Registrants will be billed for no shows and those who cancel after the stated deadline.  Cancellations must be made in writing by the stated deadline.  To cancel email Lori De Leon

Lunch is guaranteed ONLY for those who register by September 7 as we must order exact numbers of lunches. A few additional lunch tickets will be available at a first come, first served basis Sunday morning. Enjoy our complimentary reception the afternoon of September 24.

Wondering what to wear? The meeting is business casual or casual. We are among friends. Remember that hotel temperatures vary. Layers may be a good idea.

Submit a Presentation Proposal: See links above.  Presentations are needed for both student council and honor society.   
Attendees and exhibitors may submit a proposal to present a breakout or a table share: Table shares are fifteen minute presentation given three times during which you facilitate a discussion on your topic.  Breakout proposals are 45 minute formal presentations. A free registration is provided for advisors whose breakout presentation is accepted.
